sports injury and pain treatments (pains and strains clinic)
Acupuncture and tissue manipulation such as shiatsu have been used for many years to both treat and prevent injuries caused by sports, over-use, weaknesses, poor function, arthritis and many other chronic or acute disorders. Most recently, acupuncture has been used in hospitals across North America to treat pain associated with both injury and disease.
Acupuncture will help relieve pain and speed recovery time from injuries. It can also help to reduce inflammation, aiding in the healing of many diseases and reducing the recovery time from surgery. When used in combination with shiatsu, acupuncture is able to penetrate deeper and remove more tension which can be slowing the healing process. Shiatsu used on its own is a wonderfully relaxing experience that helps with stress, flexibility, muscular pains, and a host of other issues.
